The Dinghy Tap Room and Kitchen is an Isle of Palms staple, and if you don’t know about it yet, you may want to check it out soon. It is the brainchild of The Windjammer owner Malcolm Burgis, who saw an opportunity when an adjacent building became available. Burgis asked his friend and 10-year employee Bret Jones what he thought, and if he could help bring his idea to fruition. Jones created the sketches, and The Dinghy was born.
There is something special about seeing live music near the beach, with a cold beer in hand as you’re hanging out with your fellow neighbors, friends and family. It’s pure bliss.
Pair your musical experience with delectable culinary offerings, such as Dirty Elvis Fries (sweet potato fries topped with warm peanut butter, crispy bacon and fried plantains), tender alligator bites that practically melt in your mouth and a panini-pressed Cuban sandwich, to name a few.
