Similar to golf carts, to drive an LSV, you must be at least 16 years old, have a valid driver’s license, a DMV permit and proof of insurance. Some rules apply to both golf carts and LSVs. While you can park either one in a spot near the beach, you are prohibited from driving them on the beach or on beach- access paths. They also are prohibited in public parks; and, as you might expect, alcohol is prohibited in either type of vehicle. It’s also important to remember to park in a designated parking spot to avoid getting a parking ticket.
