46 | www.beachsidevacations.com RESERVATIONS As a family who once vacationed on the Isle of Palms, we can certainly understand the excitement when you top the bridge to see what awaits you: the sounds of the surf, the taste of the seafood, the touch of the sand. Our knowledgeable island reservationists will assist you in locating your perfect vacation home. By booking directly, you are absolutely guaranteed the best rental rate. CHECK-IN Check-in time can range from between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on a summer Saturday and from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. the remainder of the year, depending on when your home is ready. Every guest will receive a text and email message the moment their vacation home is ready, which will include the door access code for direct check-in. We ask that you not purchase perishable groceries prior to receiving the text and email message stating your accommodations are ready. If you plan on arriving prior to the check-in times, please plan to visit the Isle of Palms County Park at 1 14th Ave. The County Park features dressing areas, restrooms, a playground and easy beach access so that you can start your vacation early. WHAT TO PACK We have supplied your home with cotton linens and all bath towels. Each bath- room is supplied with four bath towels, two hand towels, four washcloths, one bath mat and a start-up supply of bath soap, shampoo, body gel, toilet paper and facial tissue. Kitchens include a start- up supply of paper towels, trash bags, dish/laundry detergent, a sponge and a dish towel. Remember to bring: beach towels, cof- fee and filters, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach bikes, beach toys and baby sup- plies. If you will be cooking, please bring salt, pepper, spices, tinfoil and plastic bags. Most homes have ice makers, but additional bags of ice would be a good idea. NON-SMOKING All of our property owners express- ly request that guests not smoke at their home. This is primarily due to health complications that they or family members have that are associated with residue from cigarette, cigar or pipe smoke. If our cleaning/inspection staff detects evidence of smoking within a home, the entire cost of cleaning and deodorizing will be deducted from your security deposit or charged to the credit card on file. PETS Homes clearly marked as pet-friendly allow one housebroken dog. Any other pets on the premises of a dog-friendly home or any pet on the premises of a non-dog-friendly home is strictly prohib- ited, a material breach of the lease and grounds for expedited eviction and for- feiture of all rents and fees paid. Bringing a pet into a non-dog-friendly home will incur the full cost of flea treatment and carpet and upholstery cleaning. All such fees and costs will be deducted from your security deposit or will be charged to the credit card on file. DAMAGES As a guest of Beachside Vacations, your rental includes a non-refundable dam- age waiver benefit. Beachside Vacations will waive the cost of reported lost or accidental damage to the contents of the rental accommodation you occu- py. The damage waiver is limited to a maximum of a $2,000 damage payment per stay. If damage is not reported prior to departure, the damage waiver is void. Any damage and/or additional cleaning intentionally caused by neglect of the guest or the guest’s occupants will be immediately charged to the guest’s credit card on file or withheld from the security deposit. The guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Beachside Vacations LLC and the property owner from any and all incidents and/or injuries which may occur while using the premis- es or surrounding area. RENTAL RATES/PAYMENT All information supplied in the brochure/ website is deemed to be correct to the best of our knowledge. It is understood that the information supplied is for guidance purposes only and does not form any part of a contract. We reserve the right to make corrections, additions, deletions and changes in the rates and descriptions at any time, without notice. Should the accommodation become un- available within 90 days of arrival due to reasons beyond our control, Beachside will provide alternative accommodations and will notify the guest. Taxes and fees are not included in quoted rates. A rental deposit of 35 percent of the total price is due at the time of book- ing the reservation. The balance in full is due 45 days prior to check-in. We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express as forms of credit card payment. Prior to 45 days of your arrival date, a personal check may be used, payable to the Beachside Vacations LLC. The signed Vacation Rental Agreement and payment are required to confirm the reservation. TAXES AND FEES Taxes and fees are not included in quot- ed rates. A 14 percent state sales tax; state and local accommodations taxes (13 percent on Sullivan’s Island); plus a 7.5 percent reservation fee are added to all rentals. Final tax rates are calcu- lated according to state and local taxes in force at the time of occupancy. The guest is responsible for payment of all applicable taxes in effect at the time of occupancy.
